Sensational breakfasts, lovely and awesome staff.

Location next to botanical gardens, and the temple and all the main sights. Nearby Bommu Bar Lounge - great place to chill out. Clean rooms, awesome view of hills around Kandy. A wide array of options for breakfast in the garden.

I had a good stay at Villa 49. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the main attractions in Kandy. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and even a lovely balcony. The service provided by the staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The breakfast served in the beautiful dining room was delicious, with homemade jams and freshly cooked eggs. The hotel itself had a charming decor, blending ethnic touches with modern amenities. I highly recommend Villa 49 for a wonderful stay in Kandy.

As young holiday goers, we loved the delicious and customized food served at the hotel, especially the home-cooked hoppers and seafood dishes. the location was great, just a short walk to the beautiful Kandy Lake and other attractions. the staff, particularly Tudor, went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met.

The room is attractively furnished with comfortable decor and it's in a fantastic location near the center of Kandy, by the lakeside, famous monuments, and all for a reasonable price.

The staff provides outstanding service, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The location, just outside of the city near the lake, allows for a peaceful atmosphere while still being conveniently close to Kandy's attractions.

We recently spent a weekend at a hotel and had a very positive experience. the room was very spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a lovely balcony. the hotel was situated in a great location, just a short walk from a beautiful lake and plenty of shops and restaurants. the breakfast was delicious and made to order.

There were a couple of negatives to our stay. The hotel was located in a busy area and there was quite a bit of noise at night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

I recently had a lovely stay at a hotel in Kandy that was located in a quiet street about a 20-minute walk from the main area. Despite being in a peaceful area, it was still very near to the lake, making it a perfect location. The hotel had basic amenities, but what really impressed me were the rooms with a view. I had a room with a lovely balcony overlooking the greenery, offering a beautiful view of the green panorama of Kandy. Another highlight was the breakfast, which included a variety of delicious homemade jams. The homemade items added a special touch to the meal.

All was great, nothing to improve.

We loved the friendly staff who helped arrange transportation and served us a delicious breakfast in the pleasant garden. The location was fantastic, with famous attractions and the city centre just a short walk away.

What a fantastic Christmas we had! the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised with the complementary cookies and hot cocoa in the lobby. the location was perfect, within walking distance to all the holiday festivities. Plus, the view from our room of the city lights was breathtaking! We also enjoyed the complementary breakfast, with a variety of delicious options to choose from.

The noise level at night. the thin walls and nearby street traffic made it difficult to sleep sometimes.

We were actually surprised by the warm and friendly welcome we received upon arrival at Villa 49. The staff immediately offered us a comforting cup of tea, a nice touch. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a spacious bathroom and a powerful hot shower. The balcony provided us with a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the views. The location of the hotel was great, within walking distance of the Temple of the Tooth and the city center. The meals at the restaurant were delicious, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast. Despite a few minor hiccups, such as the shower not working well and the towel being thin, the overall experience was fabulous. The attentive and helpful staff, elegant hotel, and convenient location made our stay in Kandy enjoyable. I highly recommend Villa 49 for a good stay in Kandy.

The staff are friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout your stay. The basic amenities in the rooms, including a good shower en suite, ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the location of the hotel is a major plus. It is situated in a quiet street, just outside of the city near the lake, providing a peaceful atmosphere while still being within walking distance of Kandy's main attractions. The rooms also come with a great balcony or a huge balcony, offering a lovely view of the surroundings.
